Back to the daily grind.
Well Conflux is over and I had a great, but rushed, time. Many thanks to [info]tillianion and her committee. And I hope to be able to do more next year, other responsibilities permitting.

My panel went well - any session where participants stand outside talking for about an hour afterwards obviously has gone well - and the panel I was on with [info]markdeniz also found fertile ground for further discussion, though very few non-purple zone bloggers turned up to the party afterwards.

Highlights of the con that come to me at the moment are: the launch of the In Bad Dreams anthology (edited by [info]eneit and [info]markdeniz - hope it goes really well for you guys), catching up with lots of purple zoners and LJers, and the workshops (special thanks to [info]ph8 for hers).

And a special mention goes to [info]gpolack whose fault it all is. But after she revealed how good she was as an Evil Overlord in the great debate I'm sure this is all just part of her plan.

Downside for me was that I was split two ways with social responsibilities and had to miss a lot of the cons social activities. Some very old and dear friends contacted us on the Friday saying they were on a driving tour and would be in town over the weekend. So I missed out on the regency dinner, the masquerade and most of the dead dog party. In fact if not for the fact that I was partly responsible for the PZ/bloggers party I would have probably missed out on that too.

But now its back to the daily grind. Sigh. I need to win lotto. That would make my days a hell of a lot easier :-).

Talking about the daily grind ...

Tales of Talis Updates:

Original Time Line:

Turn 34.9, The Warrior: The Return To Active Duty.

The Warrior and the Prophetess take their pick of loot from a now dead character. Very much a gaming thing this, but there are parallels in real life so I wonder how many authors on my flist have actually had their characters steal from the dead.

Alternate Time Line:

Turn 36.14, The Thief: Grafting The Grail.

The opportunity arises for some sanity to be brought to the distribution of the magical items in the game. The Priest gains the Holy Grail while the Thief gains an anti-magic device. Still there are lots of strange inconsistency that have been brought up in the game and I have to echo the Thief's disquiet about the Priest wandering around with a small child in his care.

Your welcome.

Haven't had the chance to read it yet, but hopefully on the weekend.

Will also comment then.
